Our Mission: We exist to give God glory and to go to the world with the Gospel to make disciples of Jesus!
Our Vision: Changing lives with the love and hope of Jesus; one person, one famiy and one neighborhood at a time. One more!
Our 5 Pillars (DNA):
Glory: we seek to give God glory in all we think, say and do. (Isaiah 43:6-7; Ephesians 3:21; Revelation 5:12)
Rescue: we have a sense of urgency about joining God in His work of saving the lost. (Proverbs 24:11; Romans 7:24-25)
Disciple: we will be disciples who intentionally make other disiples. (Matthew 28:18-20; 2 Timothy 2:2; Proverbs 27:17)
Family: we will be a family that sacrificially serves one another with grace, compassion and empathy. (John 13:34-35; Galatians 6:10)
Impact: we will be intentional about making an impact for Jesus in our community and the world with Gospel! (Matthew 24:14; Isaiah 58:6-7; Micah 6:8)
Our Core Values
Part of what we do at Epic is come together as a body of believers to worship God. In Jesus Christ, we are given the right to come before the throne of God as we offer up our hearts, our offerings, and our voices to Him. As we sing, as we kneel, as we lift up our hands, we give praise to the One who is worthy. Our prayer is that those who are lost and without hope in the world would come to know Christ and then gather weekly with us to worship our God.
We believe that the Word of God is the Word of life and hope for all people. We want to study the Word, meditate on the Word, live by the Word, and spread the Word. That is why at Epic Christian Church you will find that we will always open the Bible and expect for God to speak his truth into our lives.
It is an awesome truth to know that the God of the universe would incline his ears to hear our prayers. In fact, our prayer are so valuable to God that they are held in golden bowls before His throne and offered up to him as a fragrant offering. We will therefore pray without ceasing, devoting ourselves to seeking God as we follow His Son, as we love him and love others, and as we wait for his coming. Our hope is that we would join constantly in prayer: as we worship, as we study the Word, as we build relationships, and as we reach out to our community, for the Lord will answer when we call to Him.
Our greatest mission in this world was given to us by Christ himself when he said, "Love the Lord your God with all your heart, and all your soul, and all your mind, and all your strength; and love your neighbor as yourself." That is why we commit ourselves to loving God and loving others to the measure that Christ has loved us! We want to love people one at a time into a relationship with Jesus Christ.
In the body of Christ we are called to serve others! We want to meet the real needs of God's people and to carry each other's burdens. We also want to be a force of kindness in our community that changes lives. Our hope is that as a body of believers we would meet so many needs in our community that we would leave a massive void if we ever had to shut our doors.
Part of your identity as a follower of Christ is that you have been gifted by the Holy Spirit to do something special and significant for God. The Bible teaches that each one of us have been created in Christ Jesus to do good works, and that those works were planned in advance for us to do. The Leadership team believes they have been called to prepare God's people for works of service, so we want to help you to discover your own unique giftedness and then equip you in every way to use those gifts so that the body of Christ may be built up!
Finally, we believe that there is nothing stopping the church from advancing God's kingdom in our world. We are called to be ambassadors of God's story, both in this valley, and around the world. That is why we will do whatever we can to reach those in this world who are lost and without hope with the message of the gospel of Christ.
